Infinix GT 50 Pro Unboxing and First Look: What’s Inside the ₹69,999 India Box — and Why the Price Surprised Everyone
Infinix launched its liquid-cooled gaming phone in India on 27 October 2026 as a single 12GB/256GB model with a bundled accessory kit. Here is what comes with it and what the specifications add up to.
Gaming phones in India usually fight on price, landing well under ₹40,000 with big batteries and fast screens. The Infinix GT 50 Pro arrived differently. When it went official on 27 October 2026, the only version listed for India carried a price of ₹69,999, nearly three times what its predecessor launched at, with a bundle of gaming accessories that Infinix values at ₹24,999. Before you judge the phone, it helps to understand what is actually in that box, and what you are paying for. This first look draws on the launch details and on published unboxings from markets where the phone has been on sale since April.
The numbers printed on the box
Most of the GT 50 Pro’s specifications have been consistent across launch reports from TelecomTalk, GSMArena, Digit and ProPakistani. It uses a 6.78-inch LTPS AMOLED display at 1.5K resolution with up to 144Hz refresh and 4,500 nits of peak brightness, protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. Inside are 12GB of LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage.
- 6.78 inch1.5K LTPS AMOLED, 1208 x 2644 pixels
- 144HzPeak refresh rate, adaptive from 30Hz
- 4,500 nitsPeak brightness claimed by Infinix
- 2,800HzInstant touch sampling rate
- 198 gWeight, at 8.2mm thick, per Gizguide
- IP64Dust and splash resistance rating
Two numbers deserve attention before anything else. The 198g weight and 8.2mm thickness, reported in Gizguide’s June unboxing, are reasonable for a phone with a 6,500mAh battery and a liquid cooling system. The IP64 rating is the weak point: Gizguide noted it falls well short of the IP69 ratings that some rivals at similar prices now offer, so the phone handles splashes, not submersion.
Opening the box, layer by layer
There are two things to separate here: what comes in the phone’s own box, and the bundled accessory kit that Indian buyers receive at launch. Gizguide’s unboxing of the Philippine “Cooling Edition” listed a clear magnetic case, a pre-applied screen protector, a USB-A to USB-C cable and a 45W charger in the main box, with a GT MagCharge Cooler 2.0 in a separate box.
- Phone and caseMagnetic clear case and pre-installed screen protector, per Gizguide.
- 45W chargerPower brick with a USB-A to USB-C cable in the box.
- Cooling chargerFan-cooled magnetic charger included in the India bundle.
- NX kitGT NX Station dock and GT NX Controller, listed in the India offer.
For India, TelecomTalk and Cashify list a “GT 50 Pro Gaming Ecosystem” worth ₹24,999 offered free with the phone: the GT NX Station, the GT NX Controller, a GT cooling fan cum charger, and a magnetic cover described as “Free Controller 5”. GSMArena describes the NX Station as a dock for connecting the phone to a TV. The listings differ slightly in wording, so check your order page for exactly what ships.
What people get wrong: they treat the ₹24,999 bundle as money saved. It is only worth that much if you would have bought a TV dock, a controller and a cooling charger anyway. If you only want the phone, the bundle does not reduce what you pay.
The price puzzle, in four comparisons
The India price is the story of this launch. 91mobiles had expected ₹30,000 to ₹35,000, in line with the GT 30 Pro’s ₹24,999 debut. A leak reported by Digit a day before launch suggested ₹50,000 to ₹60,000. Infinix then announced ₹69,999.
Rupees. Expectations from 91mobiles and a leak cited by Digit; actual price from TelecomTalk and GSMArena, 27 October 2026.
Abroad, the same phone has sold for far less. ProPakistani reported $406 for the 256GB model and $464 for 512GB at the Indonesian launch in April, and Gizguide listed PHP 25,999 and PHP 29,999 in the Philippines. GSMArena put the India price at about $735.
Our calculation from the launch price, Infinix’s stated bundle value and the SBI card offer reported by Cashify. Bundle value is Infinix’s figure.
Working it through. ₹69,999 minus the claimed ₹24,999 bundle value leaves ₹45,000 for the phone. Cashify reports an SBI card offer bringing the effective price to ₹64,999, which would put the phone-only equivalent near ₹40,000. That is closer to, but still above, the roughly ₹35,000 that 91mobiles cited as the Indonesian price. Our arithmetic, not an Infinix figure.
The bank offer wording also varies: TelecomTalk mentions a ₹5,000 instant discount on major bank cards, while Cashify describes up to 10% off with SBI cards. Check the exact offer at checkout.
Inside the shell: chip, cooling and triggers
Most India launch reports, along with GSMArena and ProPakistani, name the chip as MediaTek’s Dimensity 8400 Ultimate, a 4nm processor with CPU speeds up to 3.25GHz. One 91mobiles report on the global launch named the Dimensity 8500 Ultimate instead; the weight of reporting points to the 8400 Ultimate.
HydroFlow liquid cooling
Infinix’s headline feature is what it calls HydroFlow liquid cooling, a micro-pump network that 91mobiles says covers nearly the whole rear of the phone, including the battery and processor, with a vapour chamber area of 7,700mm². The idea is to move heat away from the chip during long gaming sessions, so performance drops less. Gizguide reported no noticeable heating during everyday tasks, 10 minutes of 4K recording and several Mobile Legends matches, while cautioning that longer demanding sessions still needed testing.
Pressure-sense shoulder triggers
The phone has mechanical shoulder triggers on the right side when held in landscape. 91mobiles describes up to four mappable points per trigger and 10 pressure levels, plus shortcuts for apps, media and the RGB lighting. Infinix claims up to 144fps support in Call of Duty: Mobile, Standoff 2 and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
Rated figures from 91mobiles, TelecomTalk and ProPakistani launch reports. Real-world charging times not yet independently measured.
The 30W wireless charging, with a magnetic cooling charger in the bundle, is unusual for a gaming phone. 91mobiles reports that the MagCharge Cooler enables wireless bypass charging, where power runs the phone directly rather than filling the battery, which can reduce heat while gaming plugged in.

First impressions from early hands-on reports
We have not tested the India unit for this article, so impressions here come from published hands-on reports. Gizguide described the GT 50 Pro as more streamlined than the GT 30 Pro, with a glass-like back over a carbon-fibre-style texture, a small two-camera island, a polycarbonate frame without sharp edges and slim, symmetrical bezels around a centred punch-hole camera.
- Early positivesComfortable for its battery size at 198g; strong, bright display; no noticeable heating in everyday use and short gaming sessions; a genuinely useful accessory kit for console-style play on a TV.
- Early concernsIP64 only; a single 256GB variant in India; a price far above other markets; cameras that look ordinary for a ₹70,000 phone; long-session thermals and update delivery still to be proven.
Who this phone is really for: a mobile gamer who wants triggers, liquid cooling and a ready-made TV gaming setup in one purchase. Buyers who mainly want a fast, all-round phone at this price have many options with better cameras and water resistance.
Screen and cameras: the details behind the headline specs
The display numbers go further than refresh rate. 91mobiles lists an adaptive range from 30Hz to 144Hz, which lets the screen slow down for static content and save battery, a standard touch sampling rate of 330Hz alongside the 2,800Hz instant rate, full DCI-P3 colour coverage and TÜV Low Blue Light certification. For gamers, the touch sampling figures matter more than resolution, because they govern how quickly a tap or swipe registers in a match.
The cameras are clearly not the priority. The main 50MP sensor has an f/1.59 aperture and optical image stabilisation, paired with an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide and a 13MP front camera. Gizguide recorded 10 minutes of 4K video without noticeable heating, which is a useful sign for streamers, but at ₹69,999 buyers comparing with camera-focused phones will find more capable systems elsewhere.
Buy now, wait, or look elsewhere?
A simple way to decide: if you would otherwise spend ₹15,000 or more on a TV dock, controller and cooling charger, the bundle closes much of the price gap and the GT 50 Pro is worth a serious look. If you only want the phone, waiting a few weeks for festive or bank discounts, or for Infinix to offer a phone-only option, is reasonable. If cameras or water resistance rank in your top three priorities, this is not the phone for you at this price.
One more practical point: the India model has only 256GB of storage. Large games such as Call of Duty: Mobile can take several gigabytes each with updates, so heavy gamers who also shoot 4K video should watch their free space from the start.
