At least six individuals were killed and seven others injured in a mass shooting in Tel Aviv, Israel’s commercial hub, on Tuesday, with police labeling the event a possible “terror” attack. Eli Bin, the head of the Magen David Adom emergency medical service, indicated that seven people were hurt across two separate locations. The Israeli emergency service later stated that paramedics were treating several victims, some of whom were in critical condition and unconscious. Israeli police confirmed that the shooting in Jaffa resulted in multiple casualties, as reported by Reuters. Videos of the attackers have surfaced on the social media platform X. Additionally, on Tuesday, the Israel Defense Forces reported that some citizens had sought shelter in bomb shelters due to rockets fired from Iran in recent assaults. Earlier, White House officials announced that Iran is preparing to launch a ballistic missile attack on Israel “imminently.” A high-ranking official in the US government cautioned that there would be “serious consequences” if the event occurs. The official, who requested to remain unnamed while discussing intelligence matters, mentioned that the US is actively aiding Israel in its defensive preparations, according to the AP report. This followed a warning from the Israeli military on Tuesday for residents to leave nearly two dozen communities near the Lebanese border, just hours after it announced what it described as limited ground operations targeting Hezbollah.
