Nita Ambani, the Founder and Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, introduced a new Health Seva Plan aimed at testing and treating children, adolescent girls, and women during the anniversary of Sir H N Reliance Foundation Hospital. This plan celebrates the 10th anniversary of H N Reliance Foundation Hospital by offering free screenings and treatments for 50,000 children with congenital heart disease, as well as free screenings and treatments for 201,000 women affected by breast cancer and other cancers. Reliance Industries announced in a press release that it will offer free cervical cancer vaccinations to 10,000 adolescent girls. “For the past 10 years, Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital has aimed to make high-quality healthcare accessible and affordable for all Indians.” Collectively, we have impacted millions of people and provided hope to numerous families. “During the 10-year anniversary celebrations on Sunday, Nita Ambani announced the launch of a New Health Seva Plan that is offered at no charge for children and women from underprivileged communities. The hospital has served 2.75 million people, including more than 150,000 children, over the past decade,” according to the release. The hospital has performed more than 500 organ transplants and holds the record for transplanting 6 organs within 24 hours. Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre was established in 1925 by Gordhandas Bhagwandas Narottamdas. It was renovated and reopened in 2014. The hospital is a 360-bed facility providing advanced care in South Mumbai, Maharashtra. The hospital, led by the Reliance Foundation, seeks to provide safe, affordable, and high-quality healthcare to all segments of society by utilizing international best practices, skilled professionals, well-trained staff, and advanced technology, as stated in the release. It is accredited by the Joint International Commission (JCI) and the National Accreditation Board for Hospital and Healthcare Providers (NABH), which are among the highest standards for healthcare facilities. Furthermore, it is recognized as the Largest Gold Certified Green Hospital in Mumbai, meeting both national and international green building standards, according to the release.
